Synaptics OneTouch(TM) Solution Provides Multimedia Controls for the New LG MUZIQ(TM) Mobile Phone

Synaptics Inc. (Nasdaq: SYNA), a leader in capacitive sensing interface solutions for mobile computing, communications and entertainment devices, today announced that its OneTouch configurable solution will ship in the new LG MUZIQ(TM) (LX570) mobile phone.

The slim and stylish LG MUZIQ clamshell mobile phone features a music player using Synaptics' OneTouch capacitive technology to bring the five touch buttons to life on the front of the phone. These external touch controls are illuminated with red LED's for a sleek and hip industrial design and make it easy for the user to control the music features on the phone. The new LG MUZIQ music phone also includes Bluetooth connectivity, an external microSD memory card slot, media player and FM radio. These features, along with the easy-to- use touch controls, enhance the entertainment value of the device to users. Combined with Synaptics' multimedia button functions, the LG MUZIQ phone's multitasking capability allows consumers to run other applications while listening to music.
