Synaptics Natural ID Fingerprint Sensors Selected for Huawei Honor 6X Smartphones

SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 19, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Synaptics Incorporated (NASDAQ: SYNA), the leading developer of human interface solutions, today announced Huawei has selected Synaptics® Natural ID fingerprint sensors for secure biometric user authentication for their new Honor 6X smartphones. The square format sensor is located on the backside of the Honor 6X, enabling users to easily unlock the phone with a touch of the finger and safely access applications and data or perform secure mobile transactions.

Synaptics' high-performance Natural ID fingerprint sensors are available with SentryPoint technology, offering OEMs a wide-range of unique and highly secure authentication features including match-in-sensor technology, Quantum Matcher with PurePrint anti-spoof technology, and SecureLink 256-bit AES with TLS 1.2 encryption.
