Synaptics Announces Windows Phone 8 Native Touch Support for its ClearPad™ Series 3 Touch Solutions

(NASDAQ: SYNA), a leading developer of human interface solutions, today announced that Windows Phone 8 includes native touch support for Synaptics ClearPad capacitive touchscreen solutions. Synaptics ClearPad Series 3 is the industry's leading mobile touch solution for premium smartphones and has raised the bar for a high-performance touch experience.

Windows Phone 8 is a major update for Microsoft's smartphone OS with re-sizable Live Tiles on the start screen, enhanced browser security, turn-by-turn navigation and support for digital wallet services. Windows Phone 8 enables high-performance multi-touch on a wide range of hardware including dual-core processors, WXGA displays and removable storage.
