Synaptics' New Suite of Wireless Drivers Offers Enhanced Features for Wireless PC Interfaces
SANTA CLARA, Calif., May 7, 2007 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ -- Synaptics Incorporated (Nasdaq: SYNA), a leading developer of interface solutions for mobile computing, communications, and entertainment devices, today announced the availability of a new suite of wireless drivers designed to deliver advanced user interface controls across a wide range of wireless protocols and products.
Synaptics' suite of wireless drivers enables wireless PC peripheral users to adjust the Synaptics TouchPad(TM) settings to match their specific preferences. The new suite incorporates all of the compelling TouchPad features, including sensitivity adjustments, tap settings for selection and dragging, PalmCheck(TM) to eliminate cursor jumping while typing due to accidental brushes against the TouchPad, virtual scrolling to enable scrolling along the edge of the TouchPad and many other user-friendly features.

Synaptics' suite of wireless drivers will support a range of PC peripherals operating on radio frequencies (RF), including 27 MHz and 2.4 GHz, and is fully compatible with all editions of Windows Vista, including 32-bit and 64-bit versions.

The Synaptics wireless driver suite will be available in third quarter 2007. Please check with PC peripheral manufacturers for systems enabled with the Synaptics wireless driver.
