Synaptics Awarded 'Small Cap 100' by Red Herring Magazine

SAN JOSE, Calif., Dec 12, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ -- Synaptics Incorporated (Nasdaq: SYNA), a leading developer of interface solutions for mobile computing, communications, and entertainment devices, today announced that it is the recipient of Red Herring's prestigious Small Cap 100 award. The Red Herring Small Cap 100 acknowledges innovative technology and smart business models that nurture growth and profitability.

Synaptics is a leader in developing custom interface solutions, with over 100 patents issued or pending in its intellectual property portfolio.
