Synaptics Announces New Interface for New Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 5000 Laser
SAN JOSE, Calif. August 22, 2005 Synaptics Incorporated (NASDAQ: SYNA), a leading developer of interface solutions for mobile computing, communications and entertainment devices, has developed a new capacitive interface solution for the Logitech® Cordless Desktop® MX™ 5000 Laser, a keyboard and mouse combination. The interface for the multimedia keyboard is a module with two scroll zones that provide dedicated zooming and volume control, as well as a seven button array of LightTouch™ buttons, to provide quick access to media functions, such as play/pause, stop, forward, rewind and mute. Additionally, the interface solution incorporates eight red LEDs to indicate status and further enhance the usability and distinct design.
